Assembly line is required in GTNH to advance to LuV and beyond. It requires Assembly Line Recipes, obtained by putting a Data Stick in the scanner and an IV part, as shown here or in NEI.
After scanning, you can use a data reader to show the recipe or make Printed Pages to make a Written Book to show the recipes in text form. The first time you make a spedific item in the Assembling Line, be sure to throw it on the ground and pick it up again. This will give you an achievement that lets you see the recipe directly in NEI.
After an update of the modpack that changes recipes in the Assembling Line, you will need to make new datasticks for all changed items.
The Assembly Line requires one Assembling Line controller, a Data Access Hatch, Output Bus, and a Maintenance Hatch, as well as different numbers of different casings based on length. The table below outlines the materials needed for assembly lines of various lengths. The picture above shows the format of an assembly line, from minimum to maximum size.
